SAFETY AND QUALITY CONTROL will always be a top priority for all levels of management, supervision, and workers in the field. Safety and quality control will not be sacrificed for schedule, cost, or production. Our Safety Director, the project superintendent and lead foreman will review and inspect the work-in-progress to assure this required principle is found in the quality of construction and materials used.
Safety Training: Our in-staff managers maintain a comprehensive safety program to ensure a healthy, safe work environment for both employees and you, our client. Field managers and employees alike are trained to recognize job site hazards and are committed to maintaining proper safety equipment and machinery. Chevy Chase Contractors also monitors and reviews the safety practices and the programs of any sub-contractors. We require routine jobsite reviews with the safety director and field managers to evaluate site conditions in the context of workers and site visitors. In addition, training classes are offered several times a year including (but not limited to) fall protection, first aid, and CPR.
Field and Manager training: Chevy Chase Contractors offers comprehensive training to prepare our field and office management with the expertise and versatility to get the job done. We are concrete experts. We have a reputation for getting the job done right, on schedule, and within budget. We supplement the expertise that comes with a majority of staff members having 10+ years’ experience with comprehensive training instruction. This instruction keeps both new and experienced field and office management personnel informed and relevant to company and industry policies, systems procedures and amendments, and influential trends or innovations.
Driver training: our training program is thorough and ongoing. We have been certified to train our drivers in the comprehensive 3-D Driver Program. This program is designed to teach our drivers the principles of defensive, decisive, and dependable driving with the objective being to reduce potential motor vehicle collisions. In addition, prior to operating one of our vehicles, each driver’s record is thoroughly checked and they are evaluated by a certified physician to obtain a driver medical card. This comprehensive program ensures only the safest drivers in our fleet.
